FiLab Hosts “Introduction to Stablecoins” Event

On Monday, April 27, we hosted a public campus event, “Introduction to Stablecoins.”

This student-led event introduced stablecoins, from the basics to current policy discussions and real-world applications. FiLab students explained what stablecoins are, how they work, why they matter for payments and financial innovation, and how they connect to broader questions in money, banking, and regulation.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion. We also thank the Albritton Center for supporting this event.

Below are slides and photos from the event.
